About You
You have at least two years experience practicing family law, and a keen interest in women’s equality issues, particularly those related to violence against women.
You have a strong sense of justice and a track record of working with not-for-profit or advocacy groups.
You are easy to get along with, and you are comfortable working with people from a wide range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.

About the position
Pivot needs a dynamic individual to work part-time on fee-for-service family law files, as an associate with Pivot Legal LLP and part-time for Pivot Legal Society on the violence against women campaign.
Pivot is looking for an experienced family lawyer that could carry their own family law files as well as doing public education and outreach in the area of violence against women and family law.
This work would include, facilitating legal education workshops, providing summary advice for women who have experienced violence, being a resource person for advocates at women-serving agencies, and advocating for changes to the legal system that will improve the lives of women who have experienced violence.
